ABOUT LOLLY5000

Lolly Cooper of Lolly5000“My life has always been filled with strong colourful images, characters and stories.”
– LOLLY COOPER

Lolly 5000 launched in October 2014, introducing a new, original and fun lounge wear collection. Beautiful, individual and charismatic pieces with bespoke prints.

At the heart of the company is Lolly Cooper – textile designer. With an art school background and a renowned artist father – Royston Cooper – Lolly grew up surrounded by design and paint.

After college, Lolly began a career in Television and Film as a graphic designer and VFX artist. Working on many prestigious productions such as Doctor Who and the Harry Potter films.

Although throughout this media career she has always sporadically found time to freelance for London textile studios – selling her designs internationally.

Lolly 5000 is a very British brand – designed and manufactured here in the UK.

“I have a passion for cloth – particularly tweeds, plaids and tartans. I think this stems from my Irish blood – a heritage of which I’m very proud of. Oh and a passion for print.. and colour. I am known for my obsession with colours, my love of a pantone number and chart.”

My love of Print possibly comes from growing up in the 70’s when print was everywhere – major influences for me at the time were probably Pucci prints and Barbara Hulanicki with Biba. My inspiration is an endless updatable list of paintings, sculpture, architecture, landscapes, vistas, dance, performance, theatre, music, cultures, films, books, tall tales and people.”

Lolly has returned to her passion for textiles,“I grabbed the opportunity when it came along to launch Lolly 5000 my own label. It was something I have always wanted to do and just maybe create some pieces that might be a little bit special.”
